Start Here: New Student Tech Checklist

Complete these steps to reduce first-semester confusion and access everything you need.

  1. Confirm your 海角登录入口 username and set your password.
  2. Set up Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
  3. Open MyApps to access 海角登录入口 systems.
  4. Access your student email.
  5. Log in to Workday Student and complete onboarding tasks.
  6. Download the Workday Mobile app (recommended).
  7. Set up Lions Mobile ID.
  8. Download and use Navigate.

Email, Password, and MFA

Account Setup and Email Access

Once admitted, students receive an email from TechSupport@uafs.edu with their username and instructions to log into their 海角登录入口 accounts.

  • Tip to Find the Email: Search your inbox for TechSupport@uafs.edu or the subject line 鈥淩eset My Password鈥.
  • Didn鈥檛 receive that email? If you took concurrent courses with 海角登录入口 or previously attended 海角登录入口, you may not have an email in your inbox. Please contact the IT Help Desk at 479-788-7460 to reset your password.

Student email is provided through Microsoft 365. Use your 海角登录入口 credentials to sign in and check messages regularly.

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

MFA adds an extra verification step when signing in to protect your account and personal information. Set up MFA immediately to avoid being locked out of email, Workday, and other systems.

MyApps

MyApps is your 海角登录入口 portal for accessing applications like University email, Workday, Blackboard, Microsoft 365 platforms such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and more.

If you are not sure where to find a system, check MyApps first.


Workday Student

Workday is the 海角登录入口 Student Information System and primary platform for student records, academics, and finances.

In Workday, students can:

  • Track academic progress
  • Register for courses and view their current class schedule
  • Complete onboarding tasks each semester
  • View financial aid awards and complete associated action items
  • View account balance

Workday Mobile App

The Workday mobile app offers the same features available on the desktop version, allowing you to view your class schedule, search course sections, check your grades, and update your personal contact information. Review the linked guides on and available. 

 


Blackboard

Blackboard is the 海角登录入口 online learning management system. Students with online or hybrid courses will access materials and course details in Blackboard, as will in-person sections with instructors who use online tools in their courses.


Lions Mobile ID

Lions Mobile ID is your 海角登录入口 digital student ID credential. Once students create an ID with the Registrar鈥檚 Office, Lions Mobile ID is ready for setup.

This mobile credential allows access to all campus areas that require an ID, including the Lions Den, RAWC, 24-hour labs, and other secured locations, and can be used in place of a physical student ID card.

If you are living on campus, we recommend having this set up prior to Move-In.

Navigate is our 海角登录入口 Student Success platform, most frequently used by students, faculty, and staff for appointments and communication.

Use Navigate to schedule appointments with:

  • Academic Advisor
  • Career Services
  • Financial Aid
  • Tutoring
  • Other campus services


Microsoft 365 Access

海角登录入口 students have access to the full Microsoft 365 suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and OneDrive cloud storage.

Sign in with your 海角登录入口 account to access web applications or download desktop versions when available.


My.海角登录入口

My.海角登录入口 is the student intranet and central information hub. It provides announcements, campus updates, and quick links to student systems.


Campus Wi-Fi

海角登录入口 has two campus Wi-Fi networks: 海角登录入口 and 海角登录入口-Guest. Students, faculty, and staff should always connect to the 海角登录入口 network by logging in with their 海角登录入口 credentials. 海角登录入口-Guest is for visitors who don't have a campus login. Please do not connect to any other networks. 

Guests will need to self-register for access to the 海角登录入口-Guest network using a valid email address and a phone number that can receive texts. Access lasts for 24 hours.

IMPORTANT: All users of the 海角登录入口 campus networks, both wired and wireless, agree to abide by the 海角登录入口 Acceptable Use Policy.
